4 The Hounds Basset Rescue, Inc. is a small, all volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization dedicated to helping distressed basset hounds find safe and loving homes. We serve bassets primarily from the four corners area of Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas that have been relinquished or abandoned by their owners, rescued from puppy mills or pulled from municipal shelters. We are funded soley by adoption fees which offset our veterinary expenses, and donations to aid with additional expenses incurred. EVERY DOLLAR you give goes directly to helping our magnificent basset hound friends! Foster Homes
We are always in need of foster homes where our hounds can live with a loving family until their "Forever Homes" can be found.
Please consider taking one of our dogs into your home on a temporary basis. The only cost to you is your time, love, and food.
4 The Hounds Basset Rescue will pay for all veterinary costs.

Relay Drivers
Relay Drivers are also needed. If you have the time to transport a hound to its foster home or better still, its "Forever Home," and would like to offer your services, please contact any of us!
Often, dogs are transported in relays so that you would only be driving part of the way on a long trip.

Angels
Many of our hounds are seniors who have been with us for a long time, or hounds with problems such as blindness, arthritis or other issues that have made them practically unadoptable. Some wonderful people have "virtually" adopted them and help us finacially with their care. We would like to recognize those wonderful Angels at this time.
A very special thanks to all of our gracious Angels! Thank You for your continued generosity!
You too can become an Angel if you want to make a significant difference in the quality of life for these needy hounds but are unable to foster or relay. As an Angel, you pledge to contribute towards the care of the hound or hounds of your choice each month as long as the dog is in foster care, or for however long you wish. The amount you wish to contribute and the duration of the contribution is always completely at your discretion.
